OPERATIONS +
EXECUTION
Katy Mayo - Co-Founder
Katy builds the structure that helps organizations grow with confidence. As the co-founder of Scaffold Collective, she brings over two decades of experience in strategic executive support, operations, and organizational development—partnering with leaders to create strong frameworks where things feel scattered and adding structural support where progress has stalled.
Her career spans global brands like IDEO and Gap Inc., where she became known for turning complexity into clarity and big ideas into executable plans. She knows scaling can test even the strongest foundations: overwhelmed executives, workflows that outgrow their design, and people operations that need to catch up with rapid growth.
Based in Denver, Katy lives with her three kids—her favorite (and most joyful) daily reminder that even the best-built structures need flexibility.

Lisa Waud- Co-Founder
Lisa designs the scaffolding that makes workplaces feel more connected, clear, and human. As an organizational culture and workplace experience designer, she weaves belonging into the everyday fabric of work—helping leaders create environments where people feel supported and teams thrive.
With over 20 years of experience, Lisa knows that growth can stretch a company’s culture: communication becomes scattered, engagement drops, and values get lost in the shuffle. She builds systems and experiences that bring it all back into alignment. From company-wide retreats and leadership offsites to everyday rituals like 1:1s, all-hands, and knowledge shares, Lisa designs structures that foster belonging, cultivate creativity, and keep teams moving in the same direction.
Her approach blends a people-first mindset with a decisive, operational lens. Drawing on her background in creative operations leadership, experiential production, and sustainability integration, Lisa turns culture from an abstract idea into a lived, vibrant experience.
Based in Southern California, Lisa also maintains an active art practice creating large-scale public botanic installations and seeking out immersive experiences — pursuits that continually renew her perspective on how people collaborate and inspire one another.
